My Favourite Looks // Oscars and After Parties 2015

There were so many different looks last night with not only the Oscars red carpet but also the Vanity Fair after party and Elton John’s AIDS Foundation post-awards party too. I love looking at all the gowns worn to these massive award shows, I wish I could dress up in a flawless gown and have all my makeup and hair done, it would be fabulous.

First is one of my favourite couples, Channing and Jenna. I mentioned them in my Golden Globes post too as they seem to just be hitting the mark so far this year! Here Channing is wearing Dolce&Gabbana and Jenna is wearing Zurich Marad. Jenna's dress is one of my favourites it is absolutley stunning I love all the gorgeous embellishments on the front with the low neck and detailed belt. Her hair and makeup is also flawless and I think the red lips really bring a spice to the outfit. I don't have much to say about Channing because he just looks great, as always.

Next is Rita Ora wearing Marchesa. I remember seeing an interview where she said she needs a body guard because of the jewellery she is wearing and I don't know whether that's actually true or not but her earrings really are something else! The dress suits Rita to a T, the blue really brings out her skin tone and gorgeous blonde hair and the dark eye make-up helps finish the look. I also think the strapless detail of the dress and the shape of it flatters her so much.

Then there's JLO. JLO, JLO, JLO. How do you do it?!I hope I look this good at her age, her dress is a Elie Saab and I love it, more than her look from the Golden Globes. Her slick backed hair really completes the looks as I think her hair down would take away from the dress and the plunging V-neck. The embellishment and colour is just completely flawless and this is the kind of dress that a girls dreams are made of, well done JLO.

The Kardashians again look amazing. All their makeup and dresses on point. My favourite has to be Khloes look. The red velvet dress and clutch are just right up my street however I do think the other girls look beautiful. Kim's dress really fits her figure well and makes her just look completely stunning. Kourtney is so different but still yet so elegant and I love that about her.

I also loved Khloes look earlier in the day hosting the E!coverage of the show. Her dress is Lanvin and is so beautifully made. It suits her amazingly and I love how she can wear the same colour twice but still look totally different and gorgeous.

Jennifer looks amazing in Versace. She's another woman that looks amazing for her age, if I didn't know who she is, I wouldn't believe you if you told me she is 46. This dress is perfect, amazing colour and shape and just really makes her looks great. You go Jennifer.

Wishlist // The Shoe Edit

I am such a massive dreamer whether its fashion, makeup or travelling somewhere exotic. I am always online shopping even if I don't actually buy anything because of budget issues (i'm pretty sure we've all had a run in with the bank balance). I always love seeing things that other bloggers are lusting over so here are the shoes I am lusting over at the minute, I'm very boring but I am in dire need of more black shoes and these all fit the bill perfectly. Public desire is one of my favourite shoe brands, although I've never actually had anything from there, I could buy pretty much the whole store. I love the thigh high boot trend at the moment and it's something I am very keen to join. I also want to be more adventurous with my shoes and I feel like these office ones fit the bill, I always wear shoes that completely cover my feet but I want to try and broaden that and I think a pair of heeled sandals like these would be the best place to start. We did another photoshoot at college the other day and I love the images Meg took and again thought I would share them all with you!

I loved this shoot it was so much fun to do and I loved the way Meg made the pictures turn out!

January Favourites

I always love reading these posts and seeing the products everyone had been loving so I wanted to share mine too so maybe you can find some new products to try that may become one of your monthly favourites. 

And these are my January favourites.

First is this Ted Baker nail varnish. It's a gorgeous silver colour that really sparkles in the light. Theres no shade or number on the bottle so im guessing they dont have a massively large range of silvers.  Honestly it is the nicest silver nail varnish and despite its sparkliness it's always appropriate. 

Next is the Next Antigua perfume, it is so lovely and elegant I love it so much, it doesn't look like I've used much because I haven't I only need one spray and it lasts nearly all day, i really do reccommend it and at only £15 it really is worth it. 

I bought the L'Oreal Julianne's Nude lipstick just after christmas and it is my favourite nude, I could never find the right colour to match my complexion but this is it and I'm so glad I bought it. It goes on so nicely and isn't drying on my lips and lasts really well throughout my day. 

Last but not least is two of my new Real Techniques brishes although of course I love all the ones I got these two have really helped me. I used to have a really old foundation brush amd it wasn't soft at all and often irritated my skin but this is the softest thing ever and doesn't cause any irritation helping apply my makeup much better. Next is the contouring brush it has helped me contour my face so much better I always thought contouring didn't suit my fave or that I just couldn't do it but I realised that's just because I was using the wrong brush so if you're struggling in the same manner I really recommend this brush.
